GRAHAM FARISH 371-087A 1:148 N SCALE BR 25225 Class 25/2 Bo-Bo Diesel Locomotive BR Blue
A detailed model of the early type class 25 locomotives with many small bodyside grilles. Fitted with a good, smooth running mechanism providing plenty of train-pulling power. The Derby type 2 locomotives were among the most useful and reliable of the early British diesel locomotives. The initial type, later class 24, was slowly developed as service experience was applied, becoming class 25 as engine design advances made a higher power rating available. Type 2 locomotives were capable of hauling many lighter goods trains and secondary passenger trains in addition to many parcels services. When needed two class 25s could be coupled together providing similar power to the larger type 4 locomotives for heavy freight and express passenger duties.
